All Kinds Of Crazy - CD Review

I’m one of those people that when I listen to a CD, I’m looking for something that I don’t want to press NEXT with every other song. And the latest Codie Prevost CD, All Kinds Of Crazy, is one that you’re hitting BACK to restart the CD over again when it is done. A very solid CD, which every song has you captivated and brings out another emotion.

The CD starts off with I’ll Be Your Whiskey, a song that is about trying to help that person you love through a tough time. Reminding everyone, that instead of turning to whiskey that there is someone there who is willing to help you through that tough time and get you tipsy in a much healthier way.

From the first “Woo-ooo-ooo” you are singing along and dancing to the title track of this CD, All Kinds Of Crazy. This song is the ultimate definition of a house party! From the loud music to the whiskey, the girls “about to lose it” to the off key singing in the living room. When you listen to this song, I dare you… don’t sing along! I bet you can’t!

“Maybe we just have to let go to know if this will be right...” sometimes that is what a relationship needs. And, Down The Line is saying just that. Sometimes it just isn’t the right time for that relationship, and you need to let go to see if somewhere in the future your paths may come back together.

When I first saw the title of the next song, Say My Name, all I could think of was a song that was released by a female pop trio in the early 2000s. This song is so far from that. You know that feeling you get when someone you really care about says your name, and your heart kinda stops, and your breathing stops for a split second? That basically sums up this song.

I never would have thought to have compared a relationship to a candle melting… but that just what this song does. Melting Into You, is all about how that special someone has you melting with everything they do.

Stay Up Late, sounds like the best idea for a date night. Staying home and just hanging out with the person you love. The song shows that you really don’t need to go out to have a great night. You can stay home and have a great night with a bottle of wine, and you just wait have to “go to bed early and stay up late”

.Even on the darkest days, it will all get better Someday. Which is really what the song Someday, which is Codie’s current single, is saying. Everyone goes through tough times, and you think that it is never going to get better, this song is telling you that if you give it time, Someday it will get better. And we are all on our way to that Someday.

Everyone has been there, that you have had that amazing night… and you just keep thinking about Last Night All Day... Those nights that keep you distracted the entire next day at work, and you can’t wait to see them again, and pick up right where you left off.

All Kinds Of Crazy, shows what Codie has been through the last few years. Like he says in the front of the CD, “Life is bizarre sometimes… I was preparing for my wedding, touring and working on this album all at the same time.” You can hear that throughout the entire CD. Amazing job to Codie and his team on an awesome new CD! Make sure you get your copy when it is released on iTunes on March 1, 2014 (this Saturday)!
